Imphal, Jan 19 W. Willmen bagged the gold in the 66kg category in the 6th State-level Strength Lifting Championship organised by the Manipur Strength Lifting Association at Weight Lifting Training Centre at Khuman Lampak here today.
Willmen managed 67.5kg in incline bench press, 45kg in two hand curling and 170kg in hack lift for a total of 262.5 kg while N. Manoj lifted 70kg, 40kg, 140kg with a total of 250kg for the silver.
Th. Rakesh with 70kg, 40kg, 120kg with total of 230kg picked up the bronze medal.
In the 60kg category, M. Marconi lifted 65kg, 40kg, 140kg for total of 240kg for the gold.
S. Bobosana Singh managed 45kg, 40kg, 160kg for a total of 245kg for the gold medal in the 50kg to 58kg category.
N. Dinesh, the lone lifter in the up to 50kg category lifted 45kg, 35kg, 80kg with a total of 160kg for the gold.
In the girls’ 40 to 55kg category for only two participants, Kh. Somibala Devi lifted 20kg, 17.5kg, 50kg for the gold medal, while Kh. Santibala Devi successfully lifted 22.5kg, 17.5kg, 47.5kg for the silver.
